Challenge
Before switching to Allscripts, Cardiovascular Consultants Medical Group used an in-house billing process. This process unknowingly stunted the needs of the medical group. The team members did not realize they were missing charges and were missing out on potential revenue. In addition, the practice’s expenses were growing. It was facing rising costs, declining reimbursements and evolving quality payment programs. CCMG needed help to combat rising costs and keep up in the constantly evolving medical world.
Results
CCMG partnered with Allscripts, and achieved the following:
- Increased payments by 5% within six months
- Decreased accounts receivable (A/R) time by 42%, from 50 days to 29 days
- Reduced A/R over 90 days by 68%.
