At Allscripts, we take regulatory compliance very seriously. As such, we outline below the communications guidelines that comply with the ONC's 21st Century Cures Act final rule.
Should there be any restriction that contravenes the following communications restrictions in our contracts, we will not enforce them. Moreover, the next time a contract is renewed, any such restrictions (if present) will be removed.
Allscripts will never prohibit or restrict any communication regarding:
- The usability of our products
- The interoperability of our products
- The security of our products
- Relevant information regarding users' experiences when using our products
- Allscripts business practices related to exchanging electronic health information
- The manner which a user of an Allscripts product has used it
Allscripts is fully committed to supporting an interoperable healthcare environment, including partnering with clients, policy makers and other stakeholders to ensure information exchange occurs where appropriate. We are committed to addressing any concerns about information blocking, whether from clients or those submitted by others in a position to interact with Electronic Health Information documented in and exchanged from Allscripts technologies. NOTE: Allscripts clients should avail themselves of our Client Support process or their Account Executive team if they have concerns or questions about something that might fall under the information blocking regulation.
