Streamlining fax workflows
with Concord Cloud Fax

Challenge

Fax workflows are an important part of managing care coordination for patients and physicians, both before and after surgery. Tampa Bay Surgical Group relies on faxing as a means of communication, and the group struggled to find a faxing solution for both outbound and incoming faxes.

Fax processing was creating significant work for staff. Faxes were typically done with phone lines that could become overburdened during times of peak usage. When inbound faxes were received, office staff had a second step of scanning the fax into the EHR system and attaching it to the patient record. Outbound faxes had to be manually sent.

  • Eliminated the need for on-site fax servers, fax machines or phone lines
  • Faxes are now integrated into the Allscripts Professional EHR, saving time
  • Reports are organized in the input manager for any employee to grab and index to the patient’s chart with ease
