Why Allscripts Professional EHR?

Today’s ambulatory practices are facing significant challenges. Doctors are struggling to see more patients, speed up documentation and diagnosis, and connect with other physicians, payers and pharmacies, all while complying with changing regulatory mandates. It’s a delicate balance. With Allscripts Professional EHR™, it doesn’t have to be. Professional EHR was originally created by physicians, and to this day, receives significant input from physician users and advisors. Professional EHR is the preeminent solution for small to mid-size physician practices that want to provide safer patient care, streamline operations and improve revenue.

With Professional EHR, your organization can:

Professional EHR in action

Professional EHR Mobile enables clinicians to prescribe and refill medications on the go, view their schedule and access messaging, and provides a convenient tool for provider rounding. Enable your clinicians to provide efficient patient care with an easy-to-use, intuitive solution that provides real-time access to the information they need most.

For example, your clinicians can easily view their schedule with Professional EHR Mobile:

With Professional EHR Mobile, your clinicians can be more productive from wherever they are, enabling them to better prepare for their day and keep tasks on track.

The doctor uses the Clinical Images app to take several photos of the birthmark. She then indexes the photos with the appropriate document type and tags. The Edit Image feature enables the doctor to annotate the size of the birthmark on the image. Back at the office, the doctor can then complete the encounter with Professional EHR.

If a newborn was born last night at the hospital, the doctor can easily add the patient with the new Add Patient feature in Professional EHR Mobile. The patient appears in the system moments later:

In this situation, the doctor could then use the Quick Encounter feature in Professional EHR Mobile to document the newborn exam. During the exam, the doctor needs to note that the newborn has a birthmark. The Clinical Images app is ideal for documenting this.
