To improve care delivery, Arbor Family Medicine knew it had to improve its revenue cycle management procedures. It turned to Allscripts for help.
The practice had been working with a small billing company to help manage financial processes but was not satisfied with how accounts were handled. Arbor Family Medicine knew that it was time for a change in the practice’s processes. “When we were looking for a new billing company, we were already really involved with Allscripts,” Office Manager Mikie Gonzales said. “We use a lot of Allscripts products, and it made the most sense to go with them.”
Results
Allscripts helped Arbor Family Medicine:
- Increase revenue by 56,000 over three months
- Recover $16,000 in underpayments
- Increase the collection rate by 2.8%
- Make a smooth transition to ICD-10 with implementation of RCMS.
