A comprehensive EHR platform for community health systems.
Paragon.
Why Paragon?
Providing compassionate, quality care to rural and critical access communities is a mission of the utmost importance. As the sole provider in your community, your patients look to you at all stages of their lives, and your care teams need to be ready—with the right information to make decisions and the tools to make a difference. Enter Paragon®.
With Paragon, your organization can:
Paragon is an integrated acute and ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) ideal for rural and community hospitals and single IDNs. It offers “experience-centric” approaches typically seen in consumerism, and delivers clinical information and decision support tools at the point of care—improving clinician satisfaction. Paragon provides workflow intelligence guides to help the clinician easily locate relevant patient information, presenting the right information at the right time for greater efficiency and improved care delivery. This supports organizations’ mobile strategies for greater flexibility and convenience which can help drive user satisfaction and usability.
Unlike other electronic health record (EHR) systems, Paragon is not encumbered by non-relational databases, redundant data, fixed-length fields and interface requirements, so our developers can move with greater ease and speed in responding to customer-requested enhancements and mandated regulatory changes. As a result, we have a proven track record of helping Paragon users stay ahead of regulatory mandates, healthcare reform, pay for performance, ACOs and other realities of today’s changing healthcare environment.
Paragon's modern, non-proprietary operating platform eliminates the inevitable, costly and disruptive technology platform upgrades that many older systems will face. By using a single, fully normalized Microsoft® SQL database as its core architecture, Paragon simplifies data management.
The implementation experience for Paragon is unique, and one that surrounds you and your organization with the best and brightest team to help attain your goals. That’s why Paragon drives faster time-to-value than competitive systems.

Paragon in action

CDA query and retrieve in Paragon enables your care teams to get a complete patient picture. With this feature, your clinicians can query an HIE for CDA for a patient, view a list of available CDAs, select a CDA to retrieve and display, and reconcile and incorporate allergies, home medications and problems into the patient’s Paragon profile.

The Patient Notes view in Paragon includes images for easier documentation, plus adding in lab results and medication history. With Patient Notes, notes can be shared between acute and ambulatory settings in a real-time view.
The Integrated Workqueue in Paragon enables clinicians to provide more informed patient care with full-screen alerts in the workflow, and task and message management across care settings.

Paragon puts the key information your care teams need all in one place. Paragon® Clinician Hub provides one profile application across all care settings, with visual indicators for incomplete modules, user-customizable sort order and display of modules, and barcode scanning of implants for procedures performed outside the operating room.

Paragon® Ambulatory Care EHR Clinician Documentation streamlines care with a next-generation clinical documentation system that makes it easy to deploy and customize documentation templates. Clinicians can use templates tailored to their workflows, while structured data is captured for clinical care, quality measures and analytics.
In the screenshot below of Clinician Documentation Patient Review, the doctor can do a live review of the notes (right, inset) based on the patient intake information. Clinician Documentation also has scribe functionality, in which providers can sign off in a scribe, and the results automatically filter into Workqueue.

The Paragon Clinician Mobile™ application provides clinicians with access to patient-specific information, anytime, anywhere. By untethering your clinicians from PCs, your clinicians can conduct more efficient rounding and be apprised of incoming information about their patients.
