ORLANDO, Fla. & CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Feb. 26, 2004–From the
floor of the 2004 HIMSS (Healthcare Information Management Systems
Society) Annual Convention and Exposition, KLAS Enterprises, LLC.,
reported that Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (Nasdaq:MDRX), the
leading provider of clinical software, connectivity and information
solutions for physicians, received the highest overall perception
rating from a field of 16 electronic medical record (EMR) vendors
providing applications for practices with over 25 physicians.
Additionally, nearly half of the participants surveyed for the 2004
Ambulatory EMR Perception Report indicated that they would consider
the TouchWorks(TM) EMR for their practices, surpassing all other
vendors in the evaluation.

ambulatory EMR applications, discover key decision factors considered
when selecting an EMR, and identify the most likely vendors to be
included by healthcare organizations in their EMR selection process.
For the study, KLAS interviewed more than 250 healthcare executives,
CIO’s, directors, managers, and clinicians.

“With an understanding of the credibility and importance of KLAS
ratings, the Ambulatory EMR Perception Report underscores the
leadership position that TouchWorks has gained in this marketplace,”
commented Glen Tullman, Chief Executive Officer of Allscripts
Healthcare Solutions. “We are very pleased with this report as well as
the top rankings that we have received in other industry consultant
reports, such as those produced recently by the AC Group, Forrester
Research, and Gartner.”
