Leading Tennessee Physician Practice Selects TouchWorks for 100 Physicians

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., and CHICAGO, May 20, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ — Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (Nasdaq: MDRX), the leading provider of
clinical software and information solutions focused on physicians, announced
today that Summit Medical Group in Knoxville, Tennessee, expanded their use of
TouchWorks Rx+(TM). After using the e-prescribing software with a subset of
physicians, Summit will be rolling out the program for use by approximately
100 of their 155 physicians.

Summit utilizes TouchWorks Rx+ as a medication management and prescription

checking and plan-specific formularies at the point of care. Using wireless
HP iPAQ(TM) PDA’s, physicians prescribe and route prescriptions directly from
the exam room. With TouchWorks Rx+, Summit hopes to increase patient safety
and reduce callbacks from pharmacies while streamlining office workflow.
