Healthcare Solutions (Nasdaq:MDRX), the leading provider of clinical
software, connectivity and information solutions that physicians use
to improve healthcare, announced today that Metropolitan Health Plan
(MHP), a not-for-profit, state-certified health maintenance
organization, licensed the TouchWorks(TM) electronic medical record
solution for 46 mental health providers in the MHP network.
Additionally, MHP has contracted with IDX Systems Corporation
(Nasdaq:IDXC) to install the Flowcast(TM) Business Services
Outsourcing to automate the administrative operations and manage the
revenue cycle. MHP will implement these solutions in the clinic of the
Hennepin Services Department to serve the surrounding, indigent
population.
MHP turned to IDX to solve their practice management challenges
with strategic partner Allscripts Healthcare Solutions to provide the
clinical automation solution. The TouchWorks and Flowcast solutions
will run in an ASP environment, housed at IDX’s data center in Boston,
MA, making the software available to providers via a secure Internet
connection. IDX will also provide outsourced technology and human
resources necessary to deploy, support and maintain the software while
managing the revenue cycle for MHP. In the future, MHP may elect to
take on these responsibilities and also may roll out the solution to
additional healthcare providers in their network.

and the best-practices developed by IDX in its 35-year history
supporting healthcare organizations. The Flowcast BSO solution will
enable healthcare enterprises such as MHP to increase profitability
and drive productivity.
