Multi-specialty organization selects industry-leading business
performance solutions from IDX and Allscripts Healthcare Solutions
IDX Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: IDXC) today announced that Brown
& Toland Medical Group (Brown & Toland), of San Francisco, will
migrate to Flowcast 3.0 to fully leverage IDX’s next-generation,
revenue cycle management solution and strengthen the financial and
administrative support provided to its physicians.
Brown & Toland’s implementation includes the TouchWorks(TM) EMR
(electronic medical record) from IDX strategic alliance partner
Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (NASDAQ: MDRX), which serves as the
exclusive provider of ambulatory, point-of-care clinical applications
for IDX’s Flowcast business performance solution for large physician
organizations. IDX Flowcast will enable improved financial operations
and enhanced patient satisfaction, while the AHS TouchWorks EMR
solution will help physicians automate clinical processes.
An IDX customer since 1989, Brown & Toland provides administrative
support services for more than 1,500 physicians. The Medical Group is
one of the most comprehensive, multi-specialty groups in Northern
California, serving more than 200,000 members in the San Francisco Bay
area.

Center, and St. Mary’s Hospital.
