Primary care and specialty physician groups across the country are
adopting the Allscripts solution to streamline and speed vital clinical and
administrative functions. HealthMatics Office
(https://www.allscripts.com/healthmatics) combines HealthMatics Electronic
Health Record (EHR) and HealthMatics Ntierprise(R) Practice Management (PM) on
one intelligent platform that provides practices with an easy-to-use patient
information management solution. Between October 2006 and the end of the
year, the Allscripts solutions were adopted by more than 60 physician
practices across the country.
Practice leaders cited several reasons for selecting Allscripts, including
the ease of use of HealthMatics Office, a strong reputation for superior
client support, and the ability to deliver a seamless flow of information
between the clinical and business sides of a practice.
“Allscripts gives our providers all the real-time information they need,
in a package that’s easy to use and that we can support ourselves without
having to hire a new IT team,” said Donna Goodman, Chief Financial Officer and
Chief Operating Officer of Westside Health, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health
Clinic with 17 providers in three locations across Wilmington, DE. Goodman
said HealthMatics Office will enable Westside Health to quickly produce the
complex quarterly reports it is required to submit. In the past, the clinic
had to outsource the quality outcomes reports.
Marylou Krewson, Administrator of Digestive Disease Consultants, a small
gastroenterology practice that selected HealthMatics Office for its five
providers in Jacksonville, FL, expressed satisfaction with Allscripts based on
the company’s years of experience serving similar specialty practices.
“HealthMatics has been tried and tested for years by many GI group practices
and we heard nothing but praise from them,” said Krewson. “The software is
very attractive because it’s so user friendly, and if you have good people in-
house, a lot of the implementation and reports generation can be taken care of
right here.”
David Averbach, MD, Founder and Administrator of Atlantic Surgical Group,
in Oakhurst, NJ said his group selected HealthMatics Office after using other
Allscripts products for several years. “We’ve been using Allscripts Impact.MD
(document management) product for years and we have had nothing but positive
experiences with the company,” said Dr. Averbach, whose group includes six
surgeons in two locations. “When we decided to take the next step to a full
Electronic Health Record, we looked at every vendor out there and concluded
Allscripts was head and shoulders above the rest.”
Similarly, the Michigan Institute of Urology in St. Clair Shores, MI
selected HealthMatics EHR to complement its existing HealthMatics Ntierprise
practice management system following a long history of working with
Allscripts. “We’ve worked with Allscripts for many years and we have always
been impressed,” said Carla Bitonti, Administrator and Director of Billing for
the 24-physician group, which will implement the Electronic Health Record in
nine locations. “We are excited to be implementing an Electronic Health Record
that will provide patient information for our providers across multiple
locations, laboratories and clinics, making us more efficient, as well as
integrating with our Ntierprise system for full-circle practice management.”
HealthMatics Office enables clinical and practice management groups to
work hand-in-hand for better communication and improved accuracy. HealthMatics
also offers a disaster recovery solution that safeguards data and provides
remote application access in the event of a failure at the primary system
site.
“Increasing numbers of small and mid-sized physician practices are finding
that Allscripts has the solutions they need for automating and connecting
their physicians, and making their practices more efficient and safer for
patients,” said Glen Tullman, Chief Executive Officer of Allscripts. “Whether
they need a stand-alone Electronic Health Record or Practice Management
System, or our fully integrated HealthMatics Office product, Allscripts
enables practices of all sizes to effectively and efficiently manage their
clinical, administrative and financial functions.”
