The closely watched industry measure of product and service performance
ranked HealthMatics first among EHR vendors providing applications for
practices with between six and 25 physicians. TouchWorks placed first among
vendors providing applications for practices with between 26 and 100
physicians. KLAS rankings are generated by in-depth interviews with thousands
of actual end-users of the products reviewed.
HealthMatics and TouchWorks were the only products in their market
categories for which 100 percent of customers responded they would buy the
product again and would recommend it to a peer. Both of the Allscripts
solutions earned their highest marks from customers for their ability to
deliver full implementation within the agreed-upon budget. Additionally, both
EHRs were rated hightest among all EHRs in their market catagories by that
KLAS Vendor Relationship Evaluation. The evaluation, which is included in the
mid-year report, covers everything from implementation, training, service and
quality to whether the product and vendor lived up to expectations.
KLAS is a research and consulting firm specializing in monitoring and
reporting the performance of healthcare’s information technology (HIT)
vendors. The firm’s Top 20: 2007 Mid-Year Report provides its summary of HIT
product and service performance data collected over the past 13 months as
reported by integrated delivery networks (IDNs), physician groups and
inpatient facilities. The KLAS database represents the opinions of healthcare
executives, managers, and clinicians from over 4,500 healthcare facilities on
more than 300 vendors and over 500 different products.
“The KLAS rankings are the ‘Consumer Reports’ of healthcare information
technology and our top placement in this prestigious report underscores the
leadership position that Allscripts has gained in the marketplace with both
HealthMatics and TouchWorks,” commented Glen Tullman, Chief Executive Officer
of Allscripts. “We are particularly proud of our top ranking in KLAS because
it is ultimately based on one thing — our ability to deliver for our clients.
The best indicator of how we are performing relative to others is that we were
the only vendor in our size categories with 100 percent of clients stating
they would buy Allscripts again and recommend us to a peer.”
