Why our clients’ trust is most important to me
As a global leader in healthcare IT, Allscripts mission is to ensure clinicians across the globe have the resources and tools they need to deliver care for their patients. We are more than our clients’ healthcare IT vendor—we’re their partner.
Recently, Mercy Iowa City selected the Allscripts SunriseTM platform of health, run on Microsoft Azure, as the core electronic health record for its community hospital. “The decision goes beyond the technology — it is a continuation of a true partnership…not just a vendor relationship,” said Scott Alderman, the Chief Information Officer at Mercy. “Allscripts has demonstrated time and time again their commitment to improve the delivery of high quality and safe patient care! The integrated EHR is a complete ecosystem that optimizes an ‘as a Service’ model that includes Microsoft Azure as a powerhouse partner, providing high availability, security, disaster recovery and business continuity. These are key features necessary to address technology concerns in healthcare. Additionally, the design of accessibility improves workflows, enables our care givers to access the information and tools necessary to take care patients anytime anywhere!”
It’s no surprise to me that Mercy has already recognized Allscripts commitment to forming trusted partnerships with our clients. In addition, our dedication has been recognized by multiple third-party organizations.
Last month, Solve Research named Allscripts the 2021 #1 Most Trusted Partner for Community Hospitals. To earn this title, Allscripts and four other EHR vendors were scored on five principles of trust (reliability, aim, capability and experience) and five principles of partnership (alignment, accommodation, communication and collaboration.) Allscripts received the highest overall score based on feedback from 93 community hospital leaders.
I’m also proud to report that Black Book Research has named Allscripts #1 in its 2021 Community Health systems Vendors Report for the fifth consecutive year. The Black Book survey collected data from more than 1,800 community hospitals and focuses on 18 key performance indicators. Allscripts was ranked first in 10 of these key indicators, including “Trust, Accountability, Transparency, and Ethics.”
In the past year, we didn’t let COVID-19 travel restrictions hinder our commitment to ensuring each of our clients had the trusted partner they needed, even if our work went entirely remote. According to Reaction Data, Allscripts ranked #1 in supporting our clients through COVID-19 Response and Recovery. A recognition like this demonstrates our position in the healthcare industry as more than a software company.
“We take enormous pride in partnering with our clients and working closely with them to better expand their reach in the communities they serve. We understand the immense pressures physician practices, hospitals and health systems face to manage the weight of financial and competitive realities, without compromising the care of a human life,” said Nicole Faucher, Allscripts Vice President, Client Development & Delivery.
I couldn’t agree more. Humans helping humans—that’s at the core of everything we do.
