1. Vanderbilt tries new version of Dragon documentation software

Health Data Management – Feb. 08, 2019. Vanderbilt University Medical Center is an early adopter of new voice-enabled virtual assistant software from Nuance Communications being offered to all users of its Dragon Medical One cloud-based clinical documentation platform.

Becker’s Hospital Review – Feb. 08, 2019. Heritage Valley Health System (Beaver, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.) signed a 10-year extension and expansion agreement with Allscripts.

Becker’s Hospital Review – Feb. 13, 2019. NextGen Healthcare, a healthcare software company focused on the ambulatory setting, will integrate its services with Allscripts subsidiary Veradigm to improve connectivity and data exchange with payers and labs.

Becker’s Hospital Review – Feb. 14, 2019. Veradigm™ is leveraging its capability to communicate directly with a broad network of ambulatory healthcare professionals (HCPs) in order to increase public awareness and access to the Cancer Experience Registry.

8. Underwriter signs Allscripts subsidiary for EHR: 4 notes

Becker’s Hospital Review – Feb. 14, 2019. MIB, a membership corporation that providers underwriting services to insurance companies, signed an agreement to access EHR data from Veradigm, a subsidiary of Allscripts, for underwriting purposes

 9. HIMSS19: Lyft could move into food delivery as part of population health focus

Healthcare Dive – Feb. 15, 2019. Allscripts CEO Paul Black told Healthcare Dive nutrition is “one of the next biggest determinants.” Lyft and Allscripts joined forced last year to develop Concierge API, a health IT platform to allow providers to offer non-emergency transportation to patients.
