Event Details

Q: What is ACE?
A: The Allscripts Client Experience (ACE) offers registrants educational sessions presented by industry experts, Allscripts clients, partners and employees, highlighting Allscripts products, features and functionality to optimize utilization and latest updates in healthcare industry trends and an opportunity to network with colleagues.

Q: Is this the Misys Healthcare Annual Conference & Expo or Allscripts Users Conference?
A: Yes.  To be more consistent with our new brand and to incorporate all of our users, we are now calling the client user conference the Allscripts Client Experience (ACE).  We changed the name because it exemplifies exactly what the conference is - an experience for all of our clients with learning and networking opportunities for everyone!

Q: When is ACE held?
A: The event dates are: July 30 – August 1, 2009*
*Optional Pre-Conference Sessions begin on July 28, 2009.

Q: Why is the event in Florida?
A: There are several reasons why Florida was chosen as this year’s conference location.  The international airport in Orlando, Florida is a convenient location for clients travelling from a variety of locations throughout the US. The cost of Florida locations is very reasonable this time of year, allowing us to keep our fees low. Although the conference is for clients only, Florida is very family-oriented and clients may choose to extend their stay in the area. In post-conference client surveys we asked what location would be of interest to users. Florida was consistently in the top three in the last three years.

Q: Why is the event held in July and August?
A: Historically, both legacy Misys and Allscripts conferences are scheduled this time of year.  We wanted to maintain a similar schedule as many clients plan for this summer event every year.  Although the temperature in Florida may be hot, the Gaylord Palms will be comfortably cool.

Q: What is the conference attire?
A: The conference attire is business casual with the exception of the Friday evening event, which is casual. Conference rooms are air conditioned so please bring a sweater as it tends to get chilly.  The Friday evening event venue is located both inside and outside so please plan your attire accordingly.

Q: Are you providing CME or CEU’s this year?
A: We have developed an exclusive track for physicians to enhance their overall learning experience; however, we will not be offering CME’s this year.  CEU credits will be available for some sessions and are noted next to the session description on the Session Page.

Registration & Fees

Q: What is the conference fee/cost for registration?
A:  In these uncertain economic times we are trying to be considerate of client expenses. Our Early Bird Registration Fee is $649 per person.* (*Early Bird registration ends midnight June 26, 2009 EDT) The Standard and On Site Registration Fee is $849. Other conference fees may apply, such as Pre-Conference Sessions. Visit the Register page for more information or click here to register.

Q: I want to register more than one person at one time. Is there a discount for registering more than one person?
A: No. There is no discount offered for registering more than one person.

Q: How do I register for ACE?
A: To register for ACE click on the Register page. Complete all required fields. You will receive an email confirmation of registration once you have successfully completed registration. If you do not, please contact us at ACE2009@allscripts.com or call the ACE Help Line at 919-854-3654.

Q: Do I need my client number in order to register?
A: Client numbers are not a required field; however, if you know your client number, please enter it into the appropriate field.

Q: I pre-registered for ACE in January/February.  Do I have to register again?
A: Yes!  Your pre-registration doesn’t officially sign you up for the conference.  Everyone must officially register by going to the Register page.

Q: Can I attend a portion of the conference and pay a discounted fee?
A: Yes, it is possible to register for a single day. The cost of a single day pass is $325 if you register by June 26. The fee will increase $100 after June 26.  To register, go to the Register page.

Q: I'm registered, but I want to register another person from my organization.
A: You may register additional attendees online as long as a different e-mail address is provided for each person.

Q: What are the Pre-Conference Session fees? Are they included in the overall cost?
A: The Pre-Conference Session fees vary depending on the session. Full session details, including fee information, can be found on the Sessions page.

Q: I’m registered for the conference, but I’d like to add an additional Pre-Conference Session.
A: If you would like to register for a Pre-Conference Session, you can do so by logging in to the registration site, choose to update your registration and add a pre-conference session.  You will need your confirmation number to complete this task. 

Q: While registering online I was unable to pick certain Pre-Conference Sessions. How can I choose these Pre-Conference Sessions?
A: If the Pre-Conference Session you are attempting to select does not have a check box, this indicates the session is currently full. Please email ACE2009@allscripts.com or call the ACE Help Line at 919-854-3654 to be placed on the waitlist or choose an alternative session.

Q: How can I switch to a different Pre-Conference Session?
A:Please refer to the modification link in your confirmation e-mail. From there you can cancel and register for the Pre-Conference Sessions, if the session is still available. If you are unable to do this online, please email ACE2009@allscripts.com or call the ACE Help Line at 919-854-3654.

Q:  Do I need to register for main conference sessions?
A: No. Registered attendees do not have to register in advance for the main conference sessions held on July 30th, 31st and August 1st. However, you must registered in advance for Pre-Conference Sessions.

Q: Is there a Physician Track?
A:  This year, there will be clinical sessions to fit all physician users.  The sessions will be in product specific tracks within the agenda.  To view all sessions for Physicians, go to the Session page and filter on Audience Type>Physician.  Please note that we also have two Physician Focused Breakfasts that we will require attendees to sign up in advance.  See the Connect page for more details.

Q: How can I get the pre-registration discount?
A: For those that pre-registered for ACE in January and February and received an email confirmation, you will automatically qualify to receive your discount once you have officially registered for the conference. To complete this process please go to www.allscripts.com/ace2009 or click on the Register page and you will be redirected to the registration page.  During the registration process your discount will automatically be deducted from total costs.  There are no special confirmation numbers or codes that you have to apply. If your discount does not apply, please contact us at ACE2009@allscripts.com or call the ACE Help Line at 919-854-3654. Please note if you did not pre-register and receive an official confirmation for doing so, then we will not be able to extend the discount to you if requested.  

Q: Can I transfer a registration from one attendee to another?
A: Registrations are transferable to colleagues who have not yet registered for the conference. Please send us an email to ACE2009@allscripts.com and include your name, and e-mail of the current registrant and the name, e-mail, and organization of the replacement attendee.  Or call the ACE Help Line at 919-854-3654.

Q: How do I modify and/or update my registration?
A: To update your registration details please refer to the modification link in your confirmation e-mail. From there you modify your registration as you wish. If you have issues please email us at ACE2009@allscripts.com and include your name and confirmation # with the updates requested.  Or call the ACE Help Line at 919-854-3654.

Q: What do I do if I have to cancel my registration?
A: Please refer to the modification link in your confirmation e-mail. From there you can cancel your registration at any time.  Cancellations on or prior to midnight EDT July 12, 2009 will result in an automatic credit to the credit card or refund if paid by a personal check of the registrant. Cancellations received after midnight EDT July 12, 2009 are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. If you are having issues cancelling your registration, please submit an e-mail to ACE2009@allscripts.com or call the ACE Help Line at 919-854-3654.  Be prepared to provide the attendee name, confirmation number, and organization to cancel your registration.

Q: When does conference registration close?
A: You can register through the ACE dates, however, online registration closes midnight July 26, 2009 EDT. Onsite registration will be available starting July 27, 2009 after 2pm.

Q: I’m registered, but I didn’t receive a confirmation e-mail.
A: Please email ACE2009@allscripts.com or call the ACE Help Line at 919-854-3654 with your concern.  Be prepared to provide your name and e-mail address for confirmation.

Q: How do I confirm that my registration went through?
A: You will receive a confirmation email with your confirmation number.  Store this email/confirmation number in a safe place.  You will need it if you wish to modify your registration. If you did not receive a confirmation e-mail and would like to confirm that you are registered, please email ACE2009@allscripts.com or call the ACE Help Line at 919-854-3654.

Q: What does it mean if I received a "failure of payment" message?
A:  A "failure of payment" message indicates the credit card used during your registration was not processed. Please email ACE2009@allscripts.com or call the ACE Help Line at 919-854-3654, and have your credit card information ready to share over the phone.

Q: Can I register for the conference online and still pay by check?
A: Yes, registration is available online when paying by check.  Once online registration is completed, please send your check to:

Include your confirmation number on the check. Allow two (2) weeks for processing. All checks must be postmarked by July 27 to avoid a $30 late fee.

Hotel & Transportation

Q: Which hotels can we stay at for the event? 
A: We are offering two different hotel options in Orlando.      
1. Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center - Main Conference Location and Hotel Accommodations
2. Marriott World Center Resort Orlando - Additional Hotel Accommodations
The first hotel, the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, is the main conference location where all ACE general sessions and education courses will be held. The second hotel, the Marriott World Center Resort Orlando, is just a short distance away and is also a beautiful property. Additional information regarding these hotels can be found on the Travel page and on the Registration page.

Q: If I stay at the Marriott Orlando World Center, how will I get to and from the main conference location at the Gaylord Palms? 
A: For your convenience, we have pre-arranged complimentary shuttle transportation between the Marriott Orlando World Center and the Gaylord Palms so you don’t miss a minute of the ACE action.  Shuttle service will run on a schedule that will allow you to attend all of the sessions offered at ACE, but also the flexibility to return to the Marriott throughout the day. 

Q: How do I make reservations for these hotels? 
A: Information about each of the hotels and how to book your room is available on our Travel page.

Q: What should I do if I’m trying to reserve a room at the hotel, but it says they are full?
A: If the hotel you are attempting to reserve a room at indicates they are full, please contact us at ACE2009@allscripts.com and we will research the situation for you. We cannot guarantee a room will be available at that hotel; however, we will be happy to verify room availability at that hotel.
Please note special ACE discount rates at the Gaylord Palms and Marriott end July 7, 2009.  No exceptions will be made.

Q: What are my transportation options from the airport to the hotel?
A: We have contracted with a shuttle service to provide you with discounted transportation options to and from the airports. Please visit the Travel page for more details about transportation.

Agenda

Q: Where is the conference agenda?
A:  The agenda can be found here on the Sessions page.

Q: Which products will be at ACE?  Will legacy Misys products be represented?
A: All Allscripts products will be represented at ACE, including legacy Misys products.  Please refer to our Sessions page for full details on the agenda.

Q: Should Misys EMR clients plan to attend?
A: Yes. We are committed to and continue to invest in Misys EMR.  With the combination of our current CCHIT certification for Misys EMR 9.10.1 (valid until February 2011) and future plans for Version 9.2 (due in early 2010), we are dedicated to making Misys EMR a sound clinical EHR solution.  We will continue to invest resources for addressing high impact, workflow, regulatory, and defect changes into the future.
In response to the recently announced HITECH stimulus program; while the CCHIT requirements for 2009, 2010 and 2011 are not yet finalized, we will analyze and execute the best approach for each of our clients across all of our solutions as the requirements are released by the Department of HHS.
In addition, we have adopted a surround strategy that allows us to invest in the innovations of other products within the Allscripts suite that we can leverage within the Misys EMR product. For example, recently, Misys EMR has integrated with Allscripts ePrescribe which enables you to take advantage of this year's CMS eRX Incentive initiative. 

Q: Will any of the conference information be available to those that do not attend the conference?
A: We will post all conference presentations on the client websites approximately one week after the conference for all clients to view.

Events & Activities

Q: How do I sign up a guest for the Friday evening event? Is there an additional charge?
A: During the registration process, please indicate the number of guests joining you for the Friday evening event. There is a $115 charge for each additional guest.

Q: Is dinner provided at the evening events?
A: Light hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be provided on Thursday evening at the Welcome Reception.
A buffet dinner and beverages will be provided on Friday during the evening event.

Q: Can I bring my child to the CityWalk event?
A: CityWalk is a 21 and over amusement park.  Children are not allowed.

Q: Can my child attend any of the ACE conference events or functions?
A: Children and any non-paying conference attendee are discouraged from attending any conference function. For your convenience while attending ACE 2009, guests at the Gaylord Palms and Marriott World Center can take advantage of on-site child care services.  Go to the Travel page and click on Hotel page for more details.

Q: Do you offer Child Care Services?
A:  While attending ACE 2009 at the Gaylord Palms and Marriott World Center, guests of the resort can take advantage of on-site child care services.  Kid’s Night Out™ Child Care Services is a certified and fully insured child care option offers kids a fun, safe environment where they can enjoy learning through play. For more information about this unique program, costs associated with the service, or to arrange services for your child, please call 800-696-8105.
