History / Exam
The History and Exam section of Allscripts Prenatal – like all of the other sections – has a familiar look and feel:
Notice that the patient’s pregnancy history automatically populates the prominent gravidity and parity notation at the top of all screens. Menstrual history and past pregnancies are easily entered, and the past pregnancies are automatically populated from previous pregnancies if that pregnancy was documented using Allscripts Prenatal. Like the visit entry section, we’ve tried to make this better than paper by allowing you to chart by exception: Notice that the patient above had a history of “childhood asthma.” The provider can click “All Negative” and then change the “Pulmonary” section to positive – rather than clicking the “negative” indicator in all 30 sections of the medical history. On a paper form, one would have to check 30 boxes and scribble a handful of comments. Here, it’s a handful of clicks and you’re done.
