Pediatrics

For the Pediatric practice, the EHR is ideally suited to streamline interval well visits and sick visits with Fast Tracks that include vital signs and age- or illness-appropriate templates. Physicians have the ability to document detailed medical history, including but not limited to: Family history (genetics and chronic diseases), social history (environment), and past medical history. Assessment & Plan includes well and sick visit Protocols as well as questionnaires that meet nationally accepted standards for interval checks.

Providers value the ability to:

  • Manage immunizations
    • Reminders
    • Flow sheets
  • Creates immunization record suitable for schools, camps, etc.
  • Monitor physical development & track maturation process
  • View patient's age, weight and allergies on prescription refill screen
  • Gain instant access to patient information during urgent situations
  • Meet stringent documentation requirements for better coding and regulatory accountability
  • Produce anticipatory guidelines
  • Create growth charts
  • Use developmental milestones
  • Harvest patient information to generate population-based reports
  • Directly integrate digital Spirometry data into patient's record
  • Use the dosing calculator for recommendations based on weight and age for medication prescribing
  • Generate state-specific immunization registry export

The dosing calculator will equip physicians with valuable dosing recommendations based on weight and age for medication prescribing. Additionally, the calculator takes into consideration things like renal function, indication for which the medication is being prescribed, whether or not the medication is for maintenance or loading dose, how the dosing recommendations are ranked, interval dosing or frequency dosing, fixed or calculated schedules, different dose selection at point of recommendation, and rounding up or down to suit physician’s preferences.

Immunization registries afford physicians the ability to generate exported immunization data that is state-specific directly from the EHR, enhancing the physician’s ability to capture and report the CCHIT immunization requirements of discrete data for things like lot number, manufacturer, site of injection etc.
