Allscripts Community Solutions
To achieve the vision of a connected community, widely disparate ambulatory, non ambulatory, acute and post acute systems must share patient data seamlessly. However, advanced tools, data complexity, and patient mobility have resulted in a diversity of treatment locations, information systems, and medical-data formats. This diversity poses substantial challenges for a real-time virtual patient record that incorporates information from both acute and community health treatment settings.
Allscripts offers several components necessary to build a truly Connected Community.
Allscripts EHR Solutions
Allscripts offers award-winning EHR solutions designed to meet the different needs of practices of all sizes and specialties.
In addition, some providers are not yet ready to move to a full EHR. For these providers, Allscripts provides a combination of products to get them started. By bundling ePrescribing, Orders and Results, and even Document Management capabilities together, these providers can begin to participate in the connected community and start their journey to a full EHR.
Allscripts Community Kinexus™, formerly Allscripts Community Exchange
Allscripts Community Kinexus, formerly Allscripts Community Exchange, is the engine behind a connected community. Healthcare organizations can seamlessly connect to community physicians through direct integration with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) in the practice.
With this solution, you can supply interoperability services to physician practices that have an electronic medical record. This enables clinical information exchange such as patient data, lab orders, results and more. This is done via a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model.
Community Kinexus positions you for accountable care requirements, lower costs, faster integration and efficient patient information distribution
Allscripts Community Record
The Allscripts Community Record takes the connected community to the next step, providing local, regional and national healthcare providers the flexibility to integrate medical data from a range of technologies and data structures.
The standards-based, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach facilitates the development and reuse of flexible, modular software services to create highly functional applications. The Allscripts Community Record is designed to leverage existing systems and applications so you don't have to replace them. The infrastructure incorporates data from multiple sources in a variety of formats, and harmonizes the data into a uniform, aggregated, usable structure so it can be displayed or shared with other EHRs, personal health records (PHRs), and decision support systems across the community.
This level of flexible information exchange successfully positions healthcare organizations to address current and future healthcare challenges, such as regulatory compliance, quality measures, and disease management.
The reasons that more and more health systems are looking to connect their communities are virtually innumerable. In fact, each member of the healthcare community stands to benefit from the vision of a Connected Community.
Allscripts Referral Network
Referrals are the lifeblood of the healthcare community, yet the referrals process remains a costly paper process. In addition, initiatives such as Meaningful Use and formation of Accountable Care Organizations are driving practices to “…electronically exchange key clinical information among providers and patient authorized entities.” Clearly it's time for a change. The Allscripts Referral Network delivers an infrastructure that enables an integrated and electronic referrals process. Healthcare providers quickly, easily, and electronically refer patients, transfer critical patient data, collaborate with secure messaging and track their referral status.
Allscripts EHRs integrate to the Allscripts Referral Network, enabling the nation's largest community of healthcare providers to refer together using their existing orders workflow. The Allscripts Referral Network also reaches beyond Allscripts providers with features like an integrated Fax Service. In addition Allscripts is a participating member of the Direct Project, a standards approach to patient data transfer with nearly 200 participants. The end result? Allscripts practices enjoy a "future proof" referrals network while making themselves easy to refer with.
