Allscripts Community Exchange is the engine behind a connected community. Healthcare organizations can seamlessly connect to community physicians through direct integration with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) in the practice.

With this solution, you can supply interoperability services to physician practices that have an electronic medical record. This enables clinical information exchange such as patient data, lab orders, results and more. This is done via a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model.

The Allscripts Community Record takes the connected community to the next step, providing local, regional and national healthcare providers the flexibility to integrate medical data from a range of technologies and data structures.

The standards-based, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach facilitates the development and reuse of flexible, modular software services to create highly functional applications. The Allscripts Community Record is designed to leverage existing systems and applications so you don't have to replace them. The infrastructure incorporates data from multiple sources in a variety of formats, and harmonizes the data into a uniform, aggregated, usable structure so it can be displayed or shared with other EHRs, personal health records (PHRs), and decision support systems across the community.
