The Open App Challenge encourages a broad community of developers and vendors to “Start a Revolution” by designing and integrating applications that become an extension of Allscripts Open Electronic Health Records software.

Phase 1 awards announced at HIMSS

After more than 200 innovators accepted our challenge to “Start a Revolution,” we were excited to announce Phase 1 awards at HIMSS. On March 4,  we presented $150,000 in prizes to the top 15 challenge submissions. Learn more about the Phase 1 award recipients in this news release.

Phase 2 of the Open App Challenge begins

All participants who submitted an entry for Phase 1 will be eligible to advance to Phase 2 of the challenge. In this second stage of our contest, we’re seeking “Exceptional Outcomes”—all participants must demonstrate how their new app has generated a positive clinical, financial or performance improvement outcome for an Allscripts client.

We’ll announce Phase 2 awards and showcase new innovation developed for the challenge at our annual Allscripts Client Experience, August 21-23.
