Electronic Patient Tracking Board
The Tracking Board provides a high-level view of an entire department or floor in real-time, helping clinicians immediately see patient status and understand how to prioritize care and resource allocation. Providing this level of immediate insight helps hospital departments respond more quickly, improve efficiency and increase care effectiveness for better patient care outcomes.
Often displayed on a large, centrally located screen viewable by nurses, floor managers, doctors and all other members of the care team in the department, Tracking Board uses icons and graphical treatments to alert clinicians to areas of concern. Customizable rules allow departments to display patient information in a way that’s relevant to the way they work, including by role or function.
Coordinated care and increased throughput
The Tracking Board features interdepartmental sharing of patient information. When a patient moves from one place to another, staff can move patients between boards within the same department and view other Tracking Boards in different departments.
With real-time visibility into bed availability, automatically refreshed as soon as a bed is ready, and a length-of-stay indicator, hospitals can better track and work to reduce the time a patient spends in one place or in inpatient care overall. Lab results and orders trigger refreshed views as soon as they are populated in the patient’s inpatient Electronic Health Record (EHR), which is integrated with the Tracking Board as part of the Sunrise Clinical Manager™ clinical information solution.
