How do I apply for the Allscripts Developer Program?

Complete the ADP application.  As part of the application process, Allscripts requires interested parties to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement and submit a copy of your company’s articles of incorporation or certificate of good standing and other information that will help us evaluate your application.  When we approve your application we will email you the Application Developer Agreement for signature and further instructions on next steps. 

How long does the application process take?

It’s important you submit a complete application.  If you have not answered sections of the application, expect an Allscripts representative to contact you to collect this information.  We move everyone through the application process as quickly as possible, but it may take a few weeks before you receive approval.  If you have an urgent need to connect with Allscripts applications, please make a note in your application so we can prioritize effectively.

Are there fees for participating in ADP?

Yes, there is a cost for participating in ADP.  These fees enable us to provide you with great technical assistance, enhancements to web services available for development, marketing support and assistance.  Upon completion of the ADP Application, we’ll be happy to share a summary of these fees with you.

Who owns the intellectual property rights in what I develop through ADP?

The developer always owns the development created using the SDKs available in ADP.  As a participant in the ADP, the developer receives the rights to license their application/integration to Allscripts clients.

Can I market the application/integration I develop using the SDK outside of ADP/ASX?

Yes, once your application has been tested and approved by Allscripts, we’ll post information about it on the Application Store & Exchange for Allscripts clients.  You are also welcome to use regular sales channels and other methods to market your application.  We will provide you with a logo that will identify that Allscripts has tested and approved the application for use in your own marketing and sales efforts.

How do clients get to the Application Store & Exchange?

The ASX is fully integrated with ClientConnect, the Allscripts online community, and members can access the ASX through ClientConnect in the Toolbox section.

Can I attend the Allscripts Client Event (ACE) to promote my application?

Yes, we invite all members of the ADP to participate in ACE.  Allscripts holds ACE annually in August in Chicago, Illinois.  You can also participate in various sponsorship (and other) opportunities. Click here for more information.

Are there opportunities for the Allscripts sales team to promote my application to clients?

We may invite partners in the ADP to participate in sales training events and sales education, and to have their application integrated with standard product demos.  Additional fees may apply.
