Steve Shute

Executive Vice President, Sales & Services

Steve leads a team of 1,800 employees in sales and services functions at Allscripts. Joining the company in July 2011, he brings more than 14 years of leadership experience to Allscripts, with an emphasis on helping clients utilize technology to solve complex business issues.

Steve came to Allscripts from IBM Corporation. During his 14 years at IBM, he held numerous senior executive leadership positions, both domestically and internationally. Steve’s most recent role was Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Enterprise Content Management. He has led large sales and marketing organizations and delivered billions of dollars in annual sales, and is a well-known expert on sales force execution and delivery.

Prior to working at IBM, Steve was a Certified Public Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand’s Business Assurance practice, where he performed a variety of activities ranging from managing large audit engagements to consulting

Steve received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from University of Dayton.
