Vern Davenport, President, Government Solutions

Vern Davenport has 25 years’ experience building and transforming businesses in the healthcare IT market. He joined the new Allscripts in 2008 after serving as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Misys Healthcare Solutions. Prior to Misys, he was Chief Operating Officer of Healthcare Information Solutions at Eastman Kodak, where he held global responsibilities. He also served as General Manager of the North American Region of Kodak’s Global Health Group.

Prior to joining Kodak in 2003, Davenport held a number of senior positions at Siemens Medical Solutions, including Senior Vice President of Solutions and Marketing, after joining Siemens through its acquisition in 1999 of Shared Medical Systems. Davenport was a vice president at Shared Medical Systems, and before that he spent 11 years with IBM in a variety of management roles in the healthcare and insurance industry market organizations. Davenport holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and an MBA from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C.
