Steven P. Schwartz, Senior Vice President, Corporate Business Development
Steven P. Schwartz became the Senior Vice President of Corporate
Business Development for Allscripts in October 2004, and has
been responsible for building value added business partnerships
and alliances since joining the company through the acquisition
of Medifor Inc. in April of 2000. During the past five years,
Mr. Schwartz has been responsible for building and leveraging
key technology alliances with Microsoft, HP, Cisco, Intel as
well as having incubated important new growth opportunities
for the company.
Prior to joining Allscripts Mr. Schwartz was the Executive
Vice President of Business Development for Medifor Inc. and
spent 10 years in business development and sales management
at LabCorp (formerly National Health Laboratories). Mr. Schwartz
has been a driving force in the adoption of mobile and wireless
technologies in healthcare and has actively engaged industry
leaders in support of this, having been a charter member of
Microsoft's Mobility Partner Advisory Council, and participating
as an industry expert in Healthtech’s mobile computing
for healthcare research. Mr Schwartz also leads several
initiatives that facilitate the use of electronic health records
in clinical trials.
