Brian D. Vandenberg, Vice President and General Counsel
Brian
D. Vandenberg joined Allscripts as Vice President and General
Counsel in January 2004 and is responsible for all legal affairs
of the company, including structuring, negotiation and documentation
of transactions affecting all aspects of the company's business
and operations, including strategic alliances, licensing & distribution
arrangements, marketing partnerships and sales; merger & acquisition
activities; corporate governance & structure; regulatory
issues; disclosure and federal securities law matters; and
management of outside counsel in various matters, including
litigation.
Prior to joining Allscripts in 2004, Mr. Vandenberg
was General Counsel and Sr. Vice President - Corporate Development
at uBid, Inc., a leading online auction technology company.
Earlier, he was engaged in private law practice.
Mr. Vandenberg
holds J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law,
and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin
- LaCrosse.
