Michael Klayko, Chairman

Michael A. Klayko has served as chairman of the board since March 2014. He currently serves as the chief executive officer of MKA Capital, an investment company focused on technology investments. Previously, he was chief executive officer of AOptix Technologies, Inc., a privately-held provider of wireless communications and mobile network solutions, and chief executive officer of Brocade Communications Systems, Inc., a comprehensive network solutions provider. He has held executive positions, including CEO, at Rhapsody Networks, Inc., McDATA Corp., EMC Corporation, Hewlett-Packard Company and IBM Corporation. Within the past five years, Michael has served as a director of Bally Technologies, Inc., a publicly-traded manufacturer of slot machines and other gaming technologies; PMC-Sierra, Inc., a publicly-traded semiconductor company; and several other private companies in the technology industry. Among other qualifications, he brings more than 35 years of leadership experience in the technology industry as well as extensive experience in the management of worldwide operations, sales and support.

Mara G. Aspinall

Mara G. Aspinall is president and CEO of Health Catalysts, an investment and advisory firm dedicated to the grown of new healthcare companies. Aspinall is also executive chairman of GenePeeks, a computational genomics company, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Safeguard Scientifics, Abcam plc, Castle Biosciences and Blue Cross Blue Shield Arizona. Prior to joining Health Catalysts, Aspinall was president and CEO of Ventana Medical Systems division of Roche, a worldwide leader in development and commercialization of tissue-based cancer diagnostics. She previously spent 12 years as president of Genzyme Genetics and Genzyme Pharmaceuticals. In addition to running commercial enterprises, Aspinall co-founded the International School of Biomedical Diagnostics at Arizona State University, the first school dedicated entirely to Diagnostics as an independent discipline.

Greg Garrison

Gregory Garrison was a senior leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers for more than twenty years, most recently serving as its vice chairman and chief operating officer. He has experience in strategic planning, operations, finance, information technology, mergers and acquisitions, human capital, and sales and marketing. Over the course of his career, he has also spent considerable time meeting and working with various regulators as well as advising numerous boards and audit committees. Among other qualifications, Greg brings experience as a successful business and operations leader, professional advisor and recognized financial expert.

Jonathan Judge

Jonathan J. Judge currently serves on the board of directors of FEXCO Holdings Ltd., a global provider of finance and business solutions, headquartered in Ireland. From 2004 to early 2016, he served on the board of directors of PMC-Sierra, Inc., and held positions as chairman of the board and chairman of the compensation committee. From August 2010 until his retirement in January 2013, Jonathan served as the chief executive officer of First Data Corporation, a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing. Prior to that, he served as the president and chief executive officer of Paychex Inc., a provider of payroll and human services. He also served as president and chief executive officer of Crystal Decisions, Inc. from 2002 until its merger with Business Objects S.A. in December 2003. Previously, he was employed by IBM Corporation, where he held senior management positions, most recently as general manager of its personal computing division. Among other qualifications, he brings 45 years of experience in the technology industry and extensive management, leadership and global operations expertise.

Yancey Spruill

Yancey L. Spruill is the chief operating officer and chief financial officer of SendGrid, Inc., a provider of email marketing services. Previously, he served as the chief financial officer of TwentyEighty, Inc., a provider of training and performance improvement solutions, and chief financial officer of DigitalGlobe, Inc., a publicly-traded provider of geospatial information products and services. He also served as a principal in the investment banking group at Thomas Weisel Partners and held roles at Lehman Brothers, Inc. and J.P. Morgan & Company as well as several manufacturing engineering roles with Corning Incorporated and The Clorox Company. Over the past five years, Yancey has served as director of Rally Software, a provider of enterprise-class software and services solutions to drive business agility, and he currently serves as a member of the Tuck School of Business MBA Advisory Board. Among other qualifications, he brings extensive financial and operating expertise, leadership experience, experience with serving on boards of directors and significant experience in the technology industry.

Dave Stevens

Dave B. Stevens is the founder and managing director of Keelan Capital LLC and serves as an advisor to a variety of venture capital and private equity firms and enterprises in the technology industry. He served for three years as a director of Imation Corp., a provider of global scalable storage and data security solutions. Dave was also the chief technology officer of Brocade Communications Systems, Inc., a provider of networking solutions for data centers, enterprises and service providers, having re-joined the company through its acquisition of Rhapsody Networks, for which he was the founding chief executive officer and vice president of business development. Previously, he was co-founder and chief executive officer of Palo Alto Networks, Inc., a leader in the development of cybersecurity and next-generation firewall products. He also served as the chief technology officer of transport systems for Brocade Communications Systems, Inc., and in senior management positions at Atmosphere Networks, Nortel, Bay Networks and SynOptics Communications. Among other qualifications, he brings extensive technology experience in the security, computer and data storage industries.

David Stevens

David D. Stevens currently serves as a private advisor and investor in private equity in the healthcare services industry. From 1983 - 2006, he served in various executive roles at Accredo Health Group, Inc. (formerly known as Accredo Health 7, Inc.) and its predecessor companies, serving as its chief executive officer, chairman of the board, president and chief operating officer. David currently serves as a director of Wright Medical Group, Inc., a publicly-traded orthopedic company that designs, manufactures and distributes extremity and biologic solutions, and several privately-held healthcare companies. During the past five years, he has served as a director of Medco Health Solutions, Inc., a pharmacy benefits management company that was publicly traded prior to its acquisition by Express Scripts, Inc. in 2012; Thomas & Betts Corporation, a manufacturer of electrical, electronic, mechanical and utility products that was publicly traded prior to its acquisition by ABB Ltd in 2012; and Viasystems Group, Inc., a leading manufacturer of complex multilayer printed circuit boards and electro-mechanical solutions that was publicly traded prior to its acquisition by TTM Technologies, Inc. in 2015. Among other qualifications, he brings extensive financial and operating expertise, leadership experience, experience with serving on boards of directors and significant experience in the healthcare industry.

Randy Thurman

Ralph H. “Randy” Thurman currently serves as a senior advisor in the private equity industry and executive chairman of Presbia PLC, an Orchard Capital Corporation and publicly-traded medical device company. He is a member of the executive investment council of Levitt Equity Partners, a private equity firm. In 2015, he became senior advisor at BC Partners, a private equity firm specializing in buyouts and acquisition financing. From 2008 to 2011, Randy served as executive chairman of CardioNet Inc. (now known as BioTelemetry, Inc.) and as its interim chief executive officer. Prior to that, he was founder, chairman and chief executive officer of VIASYS Healthcare Inc., a diversified healthcare technology company, which was acquired by Cardinal Healthcare Inc. in 2007. Randy served as a consultant to Cardinal Healthcare Inc. from its date of acquisition until 2008. For four years, he also served as chairman and chief executive officer of Strategic Reserves LLC, which provided advisory services to bio-pharmaceutical, genomic and medical device companies. Previously, he was chairman and chief executive officer of Corning Life Sciences, Inc. and held various positions at Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a global pharmaceutical company, ultimately serving as its president. Among other qualifications, he brings significant corporate governance, operating and investing expertise as well as extensive expertise in the healthcare industry.

Paul M. Black

Paul Black currently serves as board member and chief executive officer of Allscripts. As CEO, Paul guides company direction to fulfill its global commitment to build Open, connected communities of health. 

Prior to joining Allscripts in 2012, Paul spent more than 13 years with Cerner Corporation in various executive positions, retiring as Cerner’s chief operating officer in 2007. During his tenure with Cerner, he helped build the company into a market leader in healthcare information technology with more than $1.5 billion in annual revenue. Paul also spent 12 years with IBM Corporation in a variety of leadership positions in sales, product marketing and professional services.

Paul has served on several private company and nonprofit boards of directors for companies in healthcare information technology, healthcare services and consumer Internet marketing. He is currently immediate past chairman and an officer of Truman Medical Centers, a 400-bed safety net academic hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa.


Rick Poulton


As president of Allscripts, Rick Poulton is responsible for day-to-day operations of all business units. Rick initially joined Allscripts in 2012 as chief financial officer to oversee the company’s financial operations, business development and strategy.

Rick served as the chief financial officer and treasurer for AAR Corp. after joining the company in 2006 as vice president of acquisitions and strategic investment. He spent more than ten years at UAL Corporation in progressively more senior financial and business development roles, including senior vice president of business development as well as president and CFO of the company's loyalty services subsidiary. He also served as vice president of finance for online retailer Rick began his career in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen & Co., LLP, where he held multiple increasingly responsible positions.

Rick has served on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, with honors, from Marquette University and a Master of Business Administration, with concentrations in strategy and finance, from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Dennis Olis

Interim Chief Financial Officer

Dennis Olis, Interim Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for all financial operations, including controllership, tax, internal audit, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and investor relations. Dennis has been with Allscripts since 2012, serving most recently as Senior Vice President, Operations. 

Dennis joined Allscripts after 28 years at Motorola, where he started as a cost accounting manager and took on ever-increasing responsibility, culminating in his last two positions as Corporate Vice President of Finance, Research and Development, Portfolio Management and Planning; and Corporate Vice President of Mobile Device Operations. He put his extensive experience in operations strategy, implementation, pricing, organizational effectiveness and international mergers and acquisitions to work in service of various boards in India, Turkey, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Australia. He structured a $32 billion manufacturing outsourcing deal and led factory sales negotiations in the US, Scotland, Ireland and India.

Dennis also serves as a Board Director of Chicago’s Shakespeare Theater, a leading international theater company. Dennis earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Marquette University and holds a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

Brian Farley

Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Chief Administrative Officer

As executive vice president, general counsel and chief administrative officer, Brian Farley provides leadership on the day-to-day legal affairs of the company and advises the board of directors and executive management on matters including contracts, partnerships, employment, litigation, regulatory affairs, privacy and intellectual property. Brian also leads Allscripts marketing organization, which includes portfolio marketing, public relations and communications, corporate events and more. 

Prior to joining Allscripts, Brian served as general counsel for Google’s Motorola Mobility Home business, where he managed all legal matters and operations for the nearly $3.5 billion operation until its sale to Arris Group, Inc. He was also a member of Motorola Mobility’s president’s staff and served as his primary legal counsel. In 2012, he led the successful global regulatory and antitrust review process for the $12.5 billion sale of Motorola Mobility to Google, Inc. Before his experience with Motorola, Brian spent more than six years in various senior leadership positions and general counsel roles for three communications technology companies.

Brian earned his law degree from The George Washington University National Law Center. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts in international political economics from The Colorado College.

Jim Hewitt

Executive Vice President, Solutions Development

Jim Hewitt, executive vice president of solutions development, leads the company’s strategic technology vision to deliver high-quality products, innovation and client engagement.

Before joining Allscripts, Jim held dual roles as chief information officer of Springfield Clinic and chief executive officer of Jardogs, a healthcare software company he founded. Jardogs was acquired by Allscripts in 2013, and the FollowMyHealth® product is now part of the Allscripts population health management solution. Back in 2001, Jim served as chief information officer for Allscripts, where he was responsible for expanding the company’s product lines to create solutions centered on patient care.

Jim has extensive experience developing healthcare solutions and has served in leadership positions at The Options Clearing Corporation and Enterprise Systems, where he began his career as a programmer. He is an active member of the Lincoln Land Health Information Exchange (LLHIE) and participates on numerous committees, advisory boards and other groups that serve to address needs in the healthcare industry.

Rich Berner

SVP & GM, Health Systems and Hospitals

As General Manager of Acute, Rich Berner oversees the acute business unit, which provides healthcare organizations with solutions for operational efficiencies, improved financial performance and better patient care.

Previously, Rich served as Senior Vice President at Caradigm, a Microsoft/GE joint venture where he led the client organization. He also served in a number of executive roles at Cerner Corporation, overseeing client success. Most recently, he led a number of Cerner’s agile business units and launched emerging businesses. He also led Cerner’s Middle East and Africa operations from Dubai and served as Vice President and General Manager for Cerner’s academic and children’s hospital clients.

Before joining Cerner, Rich was a partner at TechEmpower, a strategy consulting and custom software developer. Prior to that, he served as Chief Operating Officer for FreeDrive, an online storage company, after beginning his career as a software engineer at Tellabs, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Internal and External Communications Inc.

Rich graduated as an Evans Scholar from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Education.

Alan Fowles

President, Allscripts International

Alan Fowles is President of Allscripts International with responsibility for operations and business development. With more than 30 years’ in global health care, he has extensive experience driving growth and developing leaders for healthcare technology companies.

Prior to joining Allscripts in December 2016, Alan served as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Nuance communications, leading its international healthcare business. Previously, he held increasingly responsible positions at Cerner Corporation, culminating in his role as vice president and managing director for EMEA and vice president in Europe.

Originally a clinician, Alan held a variety of senior hospital management and clinical positions within the United Kingdom and Scandinavia. He holds an Executive MBA from Ashridge Management College, affiliated with City University, London.

Assaf Halevy

Founder & CEO of 2bPrecise

Assaf Halevy serves as Founder & CEO, 2bPrecise, leading a team devoted to developing new products, services and solutions targeting personalized medicine. Most recently, Assaf has focused on assessing market potential of genomics, precision medicine and other emerging technologies that promise to impact care delivery and patient outcomes.

Assaf joined Allscripts in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Products and Business Development when the company acquired dbMotion, now part of the population health management solution. Assaf was one of the initial investors and co-founders of dbMotion and he served in several key leadership positions, including International Operations, Strategic Accounts, Products and Innovation. He was instrumental to introducing dbMotion’s semantic interoperability capabilities to the U.S. market in 2004, where it became one of the leading health information exchange solution available, adopted by dozens of the leading provider organizations in the country.

Assaf holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in computer science from the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Jaffa and Tel Aviv University.

Lisa Khorey

Executive Vice President, Chief Client Delivery Officer

Lisa Khorey is the Executive Vice President, Chief Client Delivery Officer for Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, a publicly traded company (NASDAQ-MDRX) that provides electronic health record technology and other health information technology to over 180,000 physicians, 2,700 hospitals and 13,000 extended care organizations. Lisa leads all aspects of delivering Allscripts solutions to its clients, including professional services, managed services, support and hosting.

Prior to joining Allscripts, Lisa was an Executive Director in Ernst & Young’s Healthcare Advisory Services Practice, specializing in analytics. Serving EY’s largest clients across the US and Australia, she led teams to deliver client business transformation projects, manage benefits realization and provide analytics as a service.

Lisa spent 20 years in a variety of technology leadership roles at UPMC, one of the largest integrated delivery and financing organizations in the US. Lisa spearheaded and led UPMC’s Enterprise Analytics Program, and was responsible for oversight of enterprise systems, including data aggregation platforms, business intelligence tools and master data management. She also spent several years as a UPMC hospital chief information officer.

Lisa has an MBA from Duquesne University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Steve Lalonde

Senior Vice President and General Manager, Ambulatory

Steve Lalonde is the senior vice president and general manager of professional physicians, overseeing solutions and services for ambulatory and independent practices that encompass vision, strategy and operations as well as commercializing services for value-based care and revenue cycle management.

Steve has served key executive leadership roles in sales, sales operations and services, including reorganizations associated with the 2008 merger with Misys and the 2010 merger with Eclipsys. Prior to joining Allscripts, Steve was senior vice president at RR Donnelley, the world’s largest printing and distribution company where he also served in leadership positions in strategic accounts (Fortune 500 clients), international business, business process outsourcing, and the catalog retail segment. Previously, Steve spent 20 years in the food industry, mainly with Quaker Oats.

Steve represents Allscripts on the board of TechAmerica and has served as a board member for the American Frozen Pizza Institute and as president of the National Frozen Pizza Association. He earned his Certified General Accountants designation majoring in finance in Canada and attended executive programs in marketing and international business at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Tim Quigley

Senior Vice President, Professional and Managed IT Services

Tim Quigley, senior vice president of professional and managed IT services, leads all aspects of these services, including implementations, staffing, operations and support, in order to build collaborative relationships with clients and help them achieve better clinical, financial and operational outcomes.

Tim came to Allscripts with more than 20 years of experience in IT services focused on health care, including IT consulting and outsourcing, revenue cycle management, business process outsourcing and strategic consulting. Most recently, Tim was the executive director of Dell Services Healthcare and Life Sciences. Prior to Dell, Tim held leadership positions at Perot Systems including executive vice president for global healthcare sales and general manager, provider services for the Eastern United States. He began his career in health care at Stamos Associates, a strategic advisory firm.

Early in his career, Tim worked on the staff of Senator Bill Bradley in Washington, D.C. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College.

John Sage

Senior Vice President, Client Organization

John Sage, Senior Vice President of Client Organization, leads client operations and field intelligence while also overseeing the Outcomes Executive team, focused on maintaining high client satisfaction.

John joined Allscripts in 1999 as a client executive in the company's New England territory. Since then, he has assumed positions of increasing responsibility within the sales and client operations organizations. Prior to Allscripts, John was responsible for selling anesthesia information solutions to hospitals at Datex-Ohmeda (now GE). He began his career at Versyss, Incorporated, where he was responsible for selling practice management solutions to hospital-based clinics and physician practices.

John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
